Lynne graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Heidelberg, Germany and has an MA in marriage and family therapy from Azusa Pacific University. Lynne has been a licensed therapist since 1987 in the state of California. She also received a certificate in spiritual direction from Centerpoint in Santa Barbara, CA.
Since 2002 Lynne has been the permanent faculty person for visual arts for BuildaBridge International’s Institute for Art in Transformation held annually in Philadelphia. Additionally, she is an adjunct professor for Eastern University teaching a course on Art & Spirituality for the Master of Arts in Urban Studies Program with a concentration in Community Arts. Lynne has also presented numerous workshops at Princeton’s Forum for Youth Ministry around the United States. She is the creative director for Reckoning, a social initiative located in Amsterdam, Holland and Ventura County, CA that provides artsintegrated workshops emphasizing character development and everyday leadership for at-risk populations.
Lynne is the author/creator/compiler of ‘Art & Soul : An Arts-Integrated Bible Study & Resource Book on Worship and Art-Making & Metaphor: An Arts- Integrated Resource Book for Facilitating Personal Awareness & Transformation. She is currently working on her third book – Art to Be Reckoned With: An Arts- Integrated Resource Book for Developing Character, Virtue & Everyday Leaders.
Lynne is an ordained elder and deacon in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the informal artist in residence at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Ventura, CA and serves as chairperson of the Worship Committee.
