Dr. Walter Huddell received his B.A. in mathematics from The King's College, M.A.s in mathematics from West Chester University and Bryn Mawr College and his Ph.D. from Bryn Mawr College in functional analysis. He has been at Eastern for 14 years and chairs the mathematics department. Dr. Huddell's research interests include perturbation theory, wavelets, ill-posed problems and mathematical philosophy. His published articles appear in the Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Application and The Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and General. As a teacher, Walt has been awarded the Lindback Foundation Award for Excellence in Teaching and has been named Professor of the Year twice.

Dr. Huddell enjoys the solitude of a long run or bike ride and spending time with his wife Ali and twin daughters Amy and Amber. He also serves as an Elder and Sunday school teacher at Aldan Union Church in Aldan, Pa.
