SAMPLE PRE-MED (VET/DENTAL/PODIATRY) SCHEDULE FOR BIOLOGY MAJORS
(not including all major’s requirements)

FALL – FIRST YEAR Bio. 151 – Gen Bio I (with lab) FALL – SOPHOMORE YEAR Chem. 211 + 213 (lab) – Organic Chem I FALL– JUNIOR YEAR Literature course (or any time earlier) FALL– SENIOR YEAR |

*Note that Calculus II or Statistics is also recommended since some medical/dental schools require two semesters of mathematics.
Other recommended courses: Structural Basis of Human Disease, Biochemistry (Che 320/321), Thermodynamics and Kinetics (Che 312), Genetics (Bio 312), Public speaking (Com 120) or Interpersonal communication (Com 201), and psychology courses.
