Internship:

An internship is good exposure to the 'real world' of accounting; it increases your skills and makes you more employable.  With careful course scheduling, you may fulfill the curriculum requirements so that the last semester of your senior year is free for a field work assignment.  Acct 495 (Field Work in Public Accounting) requires the student to work full-time for a CPA.  The experience must qualify as partial satisfaction of the experience requirement for the CPA certificate.. The duration of the work must be a minimum of 15 weeks and will result in an award of 12 credit hours.  Most internships are only available during the Spring semester.
