Lindy Backues, PhD
PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Backues is Assistant Professor and co-chair of the Business Department at Eastern University. Before coming to Eastern in 2008, he was the Indonesia Country Director for Millennium Relief & Development Services. He lived in Indonesia from 1989 through 2007, undertaking grass-roots development in the region of West Java among the Sundanese. From 2005 through 2006, Dr. Backues was also very involved in relief and development efforts in the Indonesian region of Aceh, in response to the tragic tsunami disaster which took place at the end of the year 2004.
