Rick Jonsen

PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Jonsen joined the Eastern University faculty in 2009. Throughout his commercial career, Mr. Jonsen was recognized as a credible and compassionate leader. He built high performing teams that consistently beat industry benchmarks for process and cost efficiency and now brings this experience to the EU Department of Business.

Immediately preceding EU, Mr. Jonsen was Director of Talent Acquisition at Johnson & Johnson for their U.S. pharmaceutical businesses.   While at Johnson & Johnson, Mr. Jonsen served in a variety of human resources roles with responsibilities in both the U.S. and Scotland, developing change management, talent acquisition and people development strategies with leaders at all levels of the organization.  Mr. Jonsen has also held human resources and operations management roles with companies in Silicon Valley, as well as local and national retailers. 

Mr. Jonsen has served on the adjunct faculty of Bethany University (Scotts Valley, CA), and as a panelist at career services conferences.  He was involved with Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship as an undergraduate student, and has served the church as a deacon and elder.
