Overview:
The Bachelor of Science degree in Management is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The Management major is designed to prepare the graduate to go directly into the corporate sectors, or to continue on to graduate school for an MBA or similar degree in any area of business. In fact, the undergraduate Management major served as the springboard for the development of Eastern's many excellent graduate business programs. Stewardship:
Starting with the introductory course, Business as a Profession, this program pays particular attention to how one's calling from God can be to business professions, not just to missions or the ministry. The most intensive consideration of business behavior as a Christian occurs in the course Business Ethics. How do graduates avoid falling into secular ways of thinking? Can good ethics also mean good business? Can Christian business people live with a unified set of ethical guidelines that can govern their lives in totality? Should a Christian work for a company which operates sweatshops in Indonesia? Are there Scriptural limits to the pursuit of self-interest?
Opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs to gain experience and confidence are available through the undergraduate student organization, Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) www.sife.org
