The Business Internship Program is a Department of Business faculty led initiative that seeks to provide students with work learning experiences to enhance their classroom knowledge. This initiative will assist students to fully prepare for their careers in business. Subsequent to departmental selection, student interns will gain valuable workplace skills while discerning their own career aspirations. As such, the Internship Program hopes to provide an opportunity for students to learn professional, practical and relational workforce skills. Moreover, student internships will increase the workforce readiness of our students resulting in better employment preparedness upon graduation.
The Business Internship Program provides students with practical and relational work experience that solidifies theoretical classroom concepts into practical applications. This initiative bridges the gap between theory and practice. By developing learning communities within our business networks, our students and local businesses can both benefit.
