Why Study Languages at EU?

Connect: The heart of any language is its people. Our program's emphasis on cross-cultural communication and understanding challenge our students to not only learn the language, but also to understand the people and culture that speak that language. Many of our students participate in Mission trips to French and Spanish-speaking countries where they experience both spiritual and intellectual growth.
Grow: All of our majors study abroad at least one semester as part of our program requirement. Our students return prepared with bilingual skills to enter into careers such as education, business, science, public health, community outreach and ministry. There are several opportunities to double-major in Languages and another area of interest.
