Flute Fest

Welcome to the NEW Eastern University Preparatory School of Music!

We are so glad you've found us and invite you to join in the musical activities starting at Eastern in the fall.  We are committed to excellence and joy to music, and here you will find both, working with a terrific faculty from the Eastern University Music Department in the beautiful mansion of Workman Hall.  Our music students will study with professional musicians trained at such prominent schools as Curtis and Juilliard, who are not only wonderful performers, but also devoted teachers.

We'll focus primarily on private instruction, offering lessons for strings, woodwinds, brass and piano.  In addition to this, we will offer chamber music coaching for suitably matched trios and quartets of students, encouraging them to make music together under the guidance of a private coach.  There is always such richness in creating music together.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Eastern University Preparatory School of Music is to provide a joyful, informed, and disciplined environment for children and adults to study and make music.  This is accomplished with highly qualified performer-scholars who delight in assisting people in their musical goals through private instruction and ensembles.  All lessons and ensembles meet on the beautiful St. Davids campus of Eastern University where "Music is for Life!"

Fall Semester: Sept. 8 - Dec. 15, 2012
Spring Semester: Jan. 19 - Apr. 27, 2013
Summer Semester: May 11 - June 15, 2013

All lessons will be held on Saturday mornings from 9AM-12PM at Workman Hall on the St. Davids campus of Eastern University.  Click here for directions to campus.

All recitals will be held in Fowler Great Room

Ages: Grades K-12 and Adult
Instruments: Violin, Viola, Violoncello, Piano, Flute, and more!
