Mission Statement

The Department of Sociology seeks to equip students with critical thinking and analytical skills that enable them to understand human behavior as shaped by social forces, structures and processes in order to effectively engage those realities through the integration of faith and sociological knowledge in the pursuit of justice.

What our Graduates Do

The knowledge you obtain from sociology can be applied in a number of careers.  Our sociology graduates have pursued jobs in ministry, urban studies, missions, criminal justice, law, teaching, community development, social work, advocacy groups, and environmental issues.
