MA in School Counseling

Eastern University Eastern University offers a Master of Arts degree in School Counseling, training students to become successful school counselors in K-12 school settings. This 48-credit degree program trains the graduate student in the competency areas established by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) and those set by the American School Counseling Association (ASCA).
Eastern University's Master of Arts in School Counseling program is distinctive in many important ways:
→ courses taught by Christian faculty who are actively engaged in the field.
→ evening and on-line courses to accommodate the working student.
→ students gain a solid foundation in research-based counseling skills and theories to function as advocates for the successful academic, social, and emotional development of children and adolescents.
→ students select their own practicum and internship sites in surrounding community schools.
→ students choose to work toward certification in Elementary, Secondary or certification in both areas (Dual Certification).
