MPCAC Self-Study Approved for School Counseling and Clinical Counseling Programs

The Counseling Psychology Department has been pre-approved to complete a self-study for the Master’s in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council (MPCAC).  MPCAC is a national accrediting body for masters-level degree programs in psychology and counseling that demonstrate high levels of academic and professional excellence for training scientist-practitioners.  The department is seeking accreditation for its School Counseling and Clinical Counseling degree programs.  This process entails an evaluation of the programs by the department and by the MPCAC reviewers, per the Masters in Counseling Association Committee standards (MCAC).

The MCAC accreditation will distinguish our programs and our students in the field of counseling.  We plan to complete the self-study this fall and submit the supporting materials in early 2013.
