Why A Doc of Arts at 65?
Norman L. Jones, LCMFTRecently, my brother-in-law asked me very sincerely why I would want to return to school at this time in my life.  I paused, collected my thoughts and responded.  I have been practicing as a marriage and family therapist for 30 plus years.  More recently, I have begun to bring some aspects of God and my biblical understanding and prayer into my counseling as much as possible.  Most of this has occurred on my own without any specific theoretical underpinnings.  This program allows me the opportunity to meet colleagues who have a like interest, to learn about how to integrate theology, psychology and family systems practice, and to begin to approach the work that I plan to do in the next phase of my career in a systematic way.
