The RN to BSN Track for Korean Nurses

Overview

KNT nursing student sp10The focus of the Korean RN to BSN track (KNT) is to equip the nurse with a BSN to practice professional nursing in the United States (U.S.) or Korea. Eastern University provides nurses with an educational experience designed to strengthen their professional nursing skills within the U.S. healthcare environment, as well as develop their proficiency in English, particularly in the area of conversation and communication.

In addition to the on-campus English as a Second Language Institute (ESLi) program, the KNT consists of 13 courses that combine English as a Second Language with upper level nursing studies.  All BSN courses are customized with additional language support to meet the educational needs of Korean nurses and prepare the student to work as a professional baccalaureate nursing graduate,

Small class sizes encourage conversation and comprehension as students learn to apply theory into practice.  Clinical experiences as well as hospital volunteer opportunities enhance the students' learning while exposing them to the U.S. healthcare system.  During the program, students are permitted to seek part-time employment in a clinical setting.  Upon completion, graduates may seek full-time employment in any healthcare setting.
