The RN to BSN Track for Korean Nurses

The Korean nurse track provides Korean nurses with an educational experience designed to strengthen their professional nursing skills within the U.S. health care environment, as well as develop their proficiency in English, particularly in the area of conversation.
This 56-credit-hour RN to BSN track combines upper-level nursing studies with courses in English as a Second Language (ESL) for health care professionals. All courses have been customized for Korean nurses.
Curricular Practical Training
After the completion of 2 of the 4 total semesters, students are permitted to seek part-time employment through Curricular Practical Training (CPT). Support services are available to assist in processing necessary compliance documents. During the 16 months of classroom study, the students may reside on campus, where there is easy access to public transportation. With the addition of an approved 12-month Optional Practical Training (OPT), the student’s time in the U.S. extends to more than two years.
Optional Practical Training
At the end of the program, the nurses may apply for 12 months of full-time Optional Practical Training (OPT) at one of the area health care facilities. University support services are available to assist students in resume writing, job seeking, and interviewing skills. As part of the full-time OPT, the students will receive the prevailing compensatory package as offered by the employer.
All faculty and staff in this track are committed to helping the students prepare for and adjust to the U.S. environment.
