The Bachelor of Science in Nursing for Registered Nurses is available in an accelerated format. The track embraces online technology and once-a-week seminars which provide face-to-face interaction with faculty.  The RN to BSN Program consists of 49 credits. To complete the Baccalaureate Degree a student must fulfill the core, support, and upper division nursing courses.  A minimum of 121 credits is required to complete the degree.

The program is approved and accredited by:

  • Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)

Through the 16 courses in the RN to BSN Program, RNs increase their opportunities for advancement, strengthen leadership and interpersonal skills, acquire computer literacy, ethical decision-making, and communication skills. Clinical rotations are independent and students have the ability to select their own clinical practicum experience.

American Holistic Nurse's Certification Corporation endorses Eastern's professional preparation of holistic nurses. This enables students from the program to sit for the Holistic Nursing Certification exam after graduation.

Students completing the Nursing Leadership course will earn the Nurse Manager Certificate from Sigma Theta Tau and Assessment Technologies Institute. (ATI)

Beginning in the Fall 2009 newly admitted RN to BSN students will graduate with a End-of-Life Trained Certificate of Completion awarded by the End of Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC).  The concepts are part of the Eastern University Department of Nursing experience of holistic care which encompasses the care of the mind, body, and spirit.
