David Black


David Black is in his fifteenth year as president of Eastern University, having previously served as president of Lakeland College in Wisconsin and as vice president, dean and professor at three other universities.  He holds the B.S., M.S., and PhD degrees from Lee University, the University of Tennessee and Ohio University, respectively.  During his presidency, a 2300 student Eastern College has grown into a 4400 student doctoral-granting university with a residential college of arts and sciences, an honors college, a college of graduate and professional studies, an urban junior college, a seminary, and three research centers.
