She will present her research topic, From Disaster to Development: Leadership Profiles of Disaster Response Teams, at ARNOVA’s 2011 Conference in Toronto this November 17-19. Prague, November 2009
St. Davids, PA, November 19, 2009: Three students in the Eastern University Ph.D. program in Organizational Leadership have won the International Leadership Association (ILA) graduate student Case Study Contest. The award was announced on Nov. 14 at the conference held in Prague, Czech Republic. The winners are: Geri Remy, a Lecturer in Eastern's Nursing Department and a resident of Blooming Glen, PA; Stephanie Povlosky, a financial analyst at the Pew Charitable Trust Foundation and resident of Harleysville, PA; and David Brewer, a project manager with Kaiser Permanente and a resident of Portland, OR. They are all third-year doctoral students who had collaborated over several weeks on their case study and will share the $1,000 award.

St. Davids, PA, August 20, 2009: Eastern University has been awarded an inaugural NVivo 8 Teaching Grant worth $10,000, allowing its doctoral students to benefit from the latest qualitative data analysis technology this fall. Dr. Heewon Chang, Chair of Graduate Education and Professor of Education and Organizational Leadership, and colleague Dr. Faith Wambura Ngunjiri, Assistant Professor and Director of Research, are the first academics in the United States to receive the grant. They were chosen from a large field of applicants from across the U.S. and Canada
