Dear friends, 

Welcome to the School of Leadership and Development at Eastern University! Here we teach Christ centered capacity building skills in organizational leadership, economic development and non-profit management programs. We deliberately integrate faith, reason and justice in our programs and interactions, aiming to deliver education that is relevant, has consequence and inspires openness to the transformative work of the living Jesus in our world and in our lives.

Our approach is to create learning communities grounded in shared Christian values and beliefs. In these communities, all involved engage in learning from and with one another and focus on supporting each other in meeting learning goals. The result is a community of leaders connected beyond the classroom and longer than the duration of their academic programs; learning is enriched by participatory insight and wisdom; opportunities emerge to apply learning and at the same time, the needs of individual community members are fulfilled.
