Take the Red Line to Union Station. Exit Union Station to the front of the building. Head right on Massachusetts Avenue for less than one block and take a left onto North Capitol Street (heading towards the U.S. Capitol). Our building is on your right at 444 North Capitol Street.
Driving Directions
From the Northeast
Take 95 South to MD 295 South (Baltimore Washington Parkway), Exit 4 toward BWI. Merge onto MD 295 South and continue for 27 miles. Exit onto US 50 West towards Washington DC. US 50 turns into New York Avenue at first major intersection. Continue straight on New York Avenue for a few miles. Cross over Florida Avenue (McDonalds on left, Wendy’s on right) and cross over N street, getting into the left lane to take the next left onto North Capitol Street. Cross over Massachusetts Avenue. Hall of States is directly on your right, 444 North Capitol Street.
From the South
Take 95 North to I-395 North (Exit 170A) towards Washington. Take D Street Exit towards US Capitol. Keep right at the fork in the road. Merge onto C Street (NW). Bear left onto Louisiana Ave. Take a left onto North Capitol St. (NW) to 444 North Capitol Street.
From the Northwest
Take 495 South to the VA-193 exit, exit number 43-44 towards the George Washington Memorial Parkway. Stay right at fork heading on GW Parkway South. Take I-395 North to D Street Exit towards US Capitol. Keep right at the fork in the road. Merge onto C Street
(NW). Bear left onto Louisiana Ave. Take another slight left onto North Capitol St. (NW) to 444 North Capitol Street.
Parking Suggestions
Metered street parking is available on a first come, first serve basis in the surrounding area of the Hall of States. Weekday parking is fairly crowded. However weekend street parking is accessible, especially in the early morning and evening hours. On Sundays you do not have to pay the meter.
Underground parking is available at the Hall of States building 24 hours a day, after payment.
Parking is also available (after payment) at Union Station (202-898-1950).
