Christoper Gulotta

Originally from the Philadelphia area, Chris has called Carlisle, Pennsylvania his home since graduating from Dickinson College (B.A. Urban Studies, 1976) and the Dickinson School of Law (J.D., 1980). He also has a Master’s in Urban Planning from Penn State (1979).
Employment
From 1980-2010, Chris was the Executive Director of The Cumberland County Housing and Redevelopment Authority. In that capacity he was involved with numerous initiatives, including affordable housing, downtown revitalization, and neighborhood conservation. Late in 2010, Chris and his wife Candy (retired schoolteacher) formed The Gulotta Group, LLC, a training and consultant venture. Current clients include The Reading Redevelopment Authority, The Lancaster City Redevelopment and Housing Authority, Northumberland City Housing Authority, and The Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania. He has written several articles for the Pennsylvania Borough News magazine in the past few years about how communities can address the issue of blighted properties.
Community Involvement
Chris volunteers as a member of the Board of Directors of The Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation and The Cumberland County Historical Society.
Personal
He lives in Carlisle with his wife Candy, his father Tony, and his two cats, Murphy and Lou! Chris and Candy have two grown daughters: Jackie is married and works for the Somerset County, NJ Tourism Council; Maryann works for Trenton-based Terracycle, a global leader in recycling/upcycling hard-to-recycle waste. When Chris isn’t working, he loves to read, garden or travel, often incorporating a visit to a baseball park.
