Employment
Since 1988, Bruce has been the Executive Director of UrbanPromise Ministries in Camden, New Jersey, a ministry that meets the educational, social economic and spiritual needs of inner-city children and teens. Bruce is the creator, motivator, and innovator of the outreach of UrbanPromise. The ministry hosts several After School Programs, youth clinics,
Summer Camps, employment readiness programs, entrepreneurial training opportunities, missionary internships, the UrbanPromise Academy for teens and the Camden Forward School.

Education
Bruce Main is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University, BA, English; Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA, M. Div., and has a doctorate from Princeton Theological Seminary.
Honors
In 1996 Bruce was selected by Christianity Today as one of America’s “UP & Coming Leaders Under 40”. Bruce’s most recent book, Spotting the Sacred, helps readers to see God in the everyday things. Bruce is also an adjunct faculty member at Eastern University. Bruce and the work of UrbanPromise is featured regularly in local media outlets and was recently highlighted on Diane Sawyer’s 20/20 special, Waiting on the World to Change and ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
Personal
Bruce and his wife Pam and their 3 kids live in New Jersey. Bruce and Jim King have been friends and colleagues for nearly 20 years.
