Education
Seth Dorrell completed a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Environmental Studies at Baylor University, then earned a Masters Degree in Economic Development from Eastern University.
Employment
He joined Southwest Community Development Corporation (www.southwestcdc.org) in Southwest Philadelphia in 2005 as a community organizer. He is currently the Deputy Executive Director responsible for overseeing Community and Economic Development programs including community organizing, housing counseling, job development, commercial corridor management, organizing business communities and development, publication of the community newspaper (www.swglobetimes.com/), grant writing and management, as well as additional administrative and programming projects.
Community Invovlement
He is currently the co-president of the board of CityLights Network, Inc., former president of the Eastwick Rotary Club, treasurer of church council at Vineyard Community Church, and involved in several neighborhood associations in Philadelphia.
Personal
He currently lives in the neighborhood where he works in Southwest Philadelphia with his wife Sarah and 10 month old Finley Grace. They attend Vineyard Community Church- West Philly where they have been active in leadership since its inception in 2005.
