Fall Faculty Development Workshop: (Saturday, September 27, 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.) Topics include: Blackboard, SafeAssign, Creating Rubrics, Grading, Classroom Management, APA Format, Integrating Faith into Teaching and Learning, and Online Pedagogy.
Speakers: Monir Atta-Alla, Heewon Chang, Tom Dahlstrom, Colleen DiRaddo, Harry Gutelius, Dana Olive, Mary Anne Peters, Pat Williams, and Alvin Wong.
The Departments of Education, Nursing, SLD, and SMS will hold lunch meetings. Please respond to Deb Dougherty (ddougher@eastern.edu) on your workshop participation and lunch.
Blackboard Basics: Individuals wishing to become certified to teach online using Blackboard, should contact Alvin Wong (awong2@eastern.edu) to become introduced to the certification process

Health Care Preparedness for Bioterrorism: (Date to be announced.) Panel discussion will include local experts who will describe how the community's health care teams have proactively prepared their institutions and staff for the possibility of bioterrorism.
