From the Interim Provost:

Welcome to Eastern University, an academic community of over 4,000
students who share a passion to change the world through our missional
commitment to Faith, Reason and Justice.

Faith. We are wholly devoted to Christ, to Scripture and to the great truths and traditions of the Christian faith. We see our faith as the ideal foundation for personal growth and intellectual reflection, and for the transformation of this beautiful but broken world.

Reason. We believe that a vibrant life of faith invites us to critically reflect on our understanding of God, God’s word and God’s world, so that we are always growing in our capacity to love God and
our neighbor well. Freedom in Christ means the freedom to think!

Justice. We follow Jesus and the biblical prophets by standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the poor and the oppressed. We labor to understand and bring an end to the patterns of social, economic and political exploitation that mar our broken world.

Eastern students discover how to pursue this mission in over fifty programs offered by our colleges and seminary, including Associate, Bachelor's, Master’s and Doctoral degree programs. Approximately 1,700 of our students study in a traditional undergraduate College of Arts and Sciences on our St. Davids campus, while approximately 2,700 are pursuing their educational goals in the Campolo College of Graduate and Professional Studies, Palmer Seminary and Esperanza College. In addition to our St. Davids campus, our students and faculty come together in classrooms in Philadelphia, the southeastern and central Pennsylvania regions and around the world, including Africa, Asia and Latin America. Nearly 15,000 Eastern alumni are making an impact for the kingdom around the globe.
