We would like to recognize those sociology students for excellent achievement while studying here at Eastern University.
Outstanding Student in Sociology
This award is presented at the end of each spring semester to that student majoring in sociology who demonstrated over the course of his/her study at Eastern University a desire to serve Christ, a love for learning, and a desire to work for justice in this present world. The recipient should epitomize the university’s motto of: Faith, Reason, and Justice. Beginning in May 2003, the following students who received this award have been:

Barnabas Servant Leadership Award
The Barnabas Servant Leadership Award, sponsored by the Barney II Foundation of River Forest, Illinois, is awarded annually to the junior or juniors who have demonstrated outstanding servant leadership on campus or in the community. Each recipient will receive a monetary grant as well as the opportunity to donate to the volunteer organization of her/his choice. Sociology majors who have received this award in recent years are:
