NEWS AND IMPORTANT DATES

News:

Bethany Hamoud, who graduated in 2004 with a sociology major, is assisting Dr. Mike Mtika and the Giving Hearts Ministries in Malawi this next year. She left for Africa in August. She first went to Malawi with Dr. Mtika as a sociology student while at Eastern.

Dr. Roberts was the faculty sponsor of 16 Eastern students who worked in Bolivia for 2 weeks this past summer. They went to Chilimarca to assist the parents of Juan De Angulo who just recently graduated from Eastern this past spring with a sociology major. Juan’s parents are the directors of MAP (Medical Assistance Program) International in Bolivia. Three current sociology majors (Chelsie Bencsik, Jena Portelli, and Kari Rowe) were also on the trip.

Those students who are planning to go to graduate next fall should complete their Graduate Record Exam (GRE) this fall. Most graduate schools require this exam as a part of their admission process. Check out the GRE web site below:
