Eastern's Main Campus
Eastern University’s picturesque campus is the perfect place for English students to live and study. Students relax and read or write poetry by the lakes on campus. They collaborate with classmates in residence halls and participate in poetry readings at the Jammin’ Java. The Warner Library’s on-site and online collections include resources for literary research, such as the Modern Language Association International Database, Iter, and Jstor. Students gain on-campus writing, publication and design experience by working for the Waltonian, the award-winning student newspaper, or Inklings, Eastern’s literary journal. The English Department is located in the center of campus in the recently renovated McInnis Learning Center which features state-of-the-art classrooms and houses the Helen S. Cramer Curriculum Library for students pursuing certification in English Education.
