Dr. Bryan Edgett earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s of Music in Trumpet Performance from Bowling Green State University, and a Doctor of Arts in Trumpet Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Northern Colorado. He serves as Director of Instrumental Activities at Eastern University where his responsibilities include teaching Applied Brass Lessons, Brass Methods, Instrumental Conducting, and Secondary Methods. He conducts the Eastern Winds, the Jazz Ensemble, and serves as Music Director for Eastern University’s musical productions.
He also serves as a Solo Trumpet of two USMC field bands. He also holds the principal trumpet chair in Cairn’s Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra.
Concurrently, he serves as an Adjunct Brass Professor at Valley Forge Christian College. His responsibilities include Applied Trumpet, Horn, and Trombone, and the Brass Instruments courses. He also performs with the college’s wind ensemble and orchestra.
Dr. Edgett remains active as a performer in solo, orchestral, chamber music and wind band settings. He has taught applied brass, music theory, conducting, arranging, and computers and music applications at eight colleges and universities. He also served as Solo Trumpet of two Marine Corps field bands.
