SP Kalaune, MA, PhD Candidate

“I find teaching and traveling to be some of the key sources of learning and joy. Having traveled to eleven countries in Asia, Europe, and America, I have realized that traveling provides wonderful opportunity for learning about different cultures.  Similarly, teaching is delightful as it gives an opportunity to be a part of students’ learning and development.  Teaching at the School of Leadership and Development at Eastern University has been a blessing for me.  What has excited me the most at this school is observing the students’ growth in their passion for justice, and in their leadership centered on service and care for others. My favorite song that ties in the theme of such leadership is ‘Go light your world…’ by Chris Rice. Here is the Youtube link for the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wN5SILxm55Q - aid=P-wDqekNNEQ"
