Steps to Completing Application for Homeschool Students
I have ALREADY applied to Eastern PREVIOUSLY (ie. last year, etc).
To be considered for admission, please submit the following
- Online application for admission and essays; Print application; Already applied
- $25.00 application fee (waived with online application)
- Official transcript from homeschool organization. If you can’t provide an "official" transcript, please submit a self-transcript with a break down of each academic year. In addition to the courses you've taken each and the grades received, it is helpful to submit additional information, such as short course descriptions and/or a list of texts used in the study. A high school transcript needs to be signed by the teacher/parent in order for it to be considered official.
- SAT or ACT scores. (If under 18 years of age and not recognized by the state as a high school graduate, you must take ACT’s in order to be eligible for financial aid). Most colleges require a high school diploma or GED for admission. The ACT is an approved test that allows a homeschool student to demonstrate their "Ability to Benefit." If a student passes the ACT test, they will be eligible for financial aid.
- Reference from Director/Administrator of the homeschool program if applicable and/or from a professional person who knows you well. In addition to the professional reference, we recommend a reference from a youth pastor or pastor. We will not accept references from a relative.
- Official transcripts from any courses taken at a college or university
- Yearly evaluations from a qualified educator if applicable
Upon completion of these credentials, your application will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee, and you will be notified within 4-6 weeks of their decision.
