INFLUENZA SEASON

From the Student Development Office:
As many of you are aware, it is influenza season. We want to provide you with the information you need should you become sick. This is NOT the stomach virus. If you have a confirmed case of INFLUENZA from a Health Care Provider with a medical note:

  1. You may NOT attend class for 2-3 days.
  2. You are responsible for notifying your professors about your absence from class and providing the medical documentation to the Student Development Office (Walton Hall Room 200)
  3. If you live within driving distance, your plans should include going home to recuperate.
  4. If you cannot go home, get your RD involved immediately. (We will most likely ask your roommate to bunk with friends while you recuperate.)

The symptoms of Influenza are: Sudden onset of fever (101-103 deg.), body aches, chills, cough/headache. Furthermore, the disease is spread by coughing. So be sure to cover your mouth and wash your hands.
