Eagles Down Cedar Crest at Home
ST. DAVIDS, Pa. — The Eastern University women's basketball team placed four
players in double figures as they cruised to a 74-39 home win over the Cedar
Crest Falcons. The Eagles, who picked up their first PAC win of the year, forced
the Falcons into 15% shooting from the field as they jumped to a 35-14 halftime
advantage.
First year guard Emily Reeser led the Eagles with 19 points and added five
rebounds and five assists. Seniors Raya Shores and Jacey Bray each picked up
nine rebounds to go with 14 and 155 points respectively. Bray registered a game
high six assists while Shores chipped in with five helpers. Hannah Tobin
connected on 4 of 6 from the field to pick up ten points on the evening.
The Falcons, who struggled from the field throughout the game, got a solid
performance from first year guard Kelly Oakes who scored 13 points and collected
a game high 11 rebounds.
Eastern Returns to action Thursday night when they travel across the street to
take on Eagle Road rival Cabrini College for the second time this year.
