Eagles finish year with home loss to Lincoln

The Eastern University Women's basketball team with a 77-60 home loss to Lincoln University. Raya Shores, playing in her last game for the Eagles, led all scorers with 21 points in the loss. Mary Rotimi recorded her ninth straight double double with 18 points and 12 rebounds to pace the Lions.

The Eagles started slowly as they struggled to take care of the ball and shot just 22% from the field in the opening period. Only 13 of 19 from the foul line allowed the Eagles to close a 17 point Lincoln lead to 36-25 at the break.

The hosts were unable to make much progress in cutting into the Lincoln lead as Chenelle Harris hit a pair of second half threes and distributed 10 assists for the game. Hannah Tobin scored 11 points on just nine shots, and Emily Reeser joined her in double figures with 10 points for the Eagles. Rotimi led four Lions in double figures.

The Eagles honored Shores and fellow senior Jacey Bray prior to the game.
