The faculty of Eastern University and the Office of Careers & Calling share a common mission: to help prepare students for meaningful careers and vocations. We know that students will seek your advice in the realms of career decision-making and planning, and we want to help. Careers & Calling offers resources and opportunities to support and encourage first-year students through seniors, and we hope to partner with you to combine our strengths and resources for the benefit of our students.
ENCOURAGE YOUR STUDENTS' CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Career Events: Throughout the academic year, the Office of Careers & Calling offers career development event programming for first-years through seniors. Our event schedule is available here.
Refer a Student: Careers & Calling provides career counseling in the areas of choosing a major, switching majors, discerning vocation, help with resumes and cover letters, job search, and more. If you know students who could benefit from our career services, please refer them to us. Students can make an appointment by calling 610-341-5827, e-mailing careers@eastern.edu, or simply stopping by Walton 202.
DON'T CANCEL THAT CLASS
Heading out of town? Don't cancel that class! Careers & Calling would be happy to talk to your students about major/career exploration, resume building, interview skills, internships, or other relevant topics. Requests will be granted on a first come, first-served basis, and we reserve the right to limit engagements based on availability. Be Interviewed: The best way to know if a career is right for you is to interview someone who's already doing it. Information Interviews are a powerful tool for exploring careers, and have helped shape the futures of many alumni. Please consider providing an Information Interview if a student requests one.
