The Office of Faith & Practice

The Office of Faith & Practice consisting of the University Chaplain, Director of Spiritual Formation and the Chapel Worship Team Advisor—facilitates the spiritual formation of students, through weekly chapels and other worship services, campus ministries, service learning opportunities, missions trips, mentoring and teaching.  We strive to have all our ministries, programs and interactions with students be an opportunity for spiritual formation.

"After a decade in youth ministry, I sensed a shift in my calling to work with college students. In 2001, I arrived at Eastern to oversee service learning, campus ministries and missions trips. All three areas contribute significantly to the spiritual formation of our students. Mentoring and classroom teaching are particular joys; I love college students' questions, issues and openness. Eastern is a terrific community that embraces the depth and breadth of the Christian tradition in ways that prove both illuminating and challenging for students and employees. It is gratifying to hear back from alumni about how well prepared they are to meet the complexities of our globalized, pluralistic world. My hope and prayer for Eastern is that we will continue to embody Jesus' passion for the gospel, calling all to follow Him as Savior.  Originally from the Philadelphia suburbs, I love spending time with my family, eating, reading, hiking and photography."

Theresa Noye"Hello! I have been at Eastern for over 15 years because I really love college students and  feel that God called me to work with them especially in the area of Music, Prayer and Worship. I moved here from Brooklyn, NY and being a product of the "city that never sleeps", explains my affinity for late night experiences and excitement.  I don't get out much these days though because I spend most of my nights with my beautiful family. My husband and I, and my son & daughter live on campus as Resident Life Staff and love hanging out with Eastern students. Three things to know about me:  I love worship, I love my family and I love to eat."
