Where is Eastern?
Located only about 25 minutes from downtown Philadelphia, Eastern University is a quiet campus in the small town of St. David's. Once a private estate, Eastern’s original Spanish-mission architecture sets it apart as a unique and scenic spot. When strolling across the grounds of Eastern University, you will find wooded walking paths along the three lakes. Eastern is home to a variety of animals, birds and waterfowl.
Eastern is a perfect place to gather for fellowship, relaxation, and reflection. We enjoy hosting groups from around the world, and offer meeting facilities as well as sound and visual systems, a copy center, bookstore, library, and new state-of-the-art observatory.
Where will I stay?
We offer double and single occupancy rooms and air conditioned rooms are available. Each residence hall has its own distinct personality, all of which are equiped with laundry facilities.
Suite-style
Two bedrooms (4-6 beds) share one bathroom.
Dormitory-style
All rooms on the floor share one large bathroom containing several sinks, toilets, and showers.
What about food?
Meals at Eastern are provided by Sodexo Corporation, which has the flexibility to serve anything from formal banquets to picnics on the lawn, from continental breakfasts to ice-cream socials. Eastern's coffee shop, "The Eagle's Nest," is a popular choice for relaxed, casual snacks and meals in a friendly setting.
