The Program Coordinator for the School of Leadership and Development (SLD) recruits for SLD domestic and overseas programs, providing residency coordination, and student and faculty support.
Essential Administrative Duties and Responsibilities
1. Works collaboratively with SLD recruiting staff to:
a. Establishes systems and policies that capture best practices for
i. manages overseas residencies
ii. manages off-campus residencies, and
iii. advises students from recruitment to alumni.
2. Recruits a minimum of 50 – 70 students annually for SLD programs.
3. Provides timely and accurate enrollment information to appropriate CCGPS Directors and Officers upon request.
4. Represents Eastern University and SLD at scheduled conferences, open houses, and campus visits.
5. Works with admissions and financial aid team for timely decision making.
6. Serves as central administrative contact for SLD students and faculty, and redirects inquiries to appropriate CCGPS administrative team.
7. Works with the admissions staff and residency coordinators, where applicable, for the arrival of students to their respective locations for coursework, and provides administrative support to faculty and students in their respective programs.
8. Supports students with Blackboard and online library orientation at residencies and on campus.
9. Administers course evaluations at residencies in collaboration with faculty.
10. Maintains student orientation manuals and other orientation materials (CD ROM), student bio booklets and other necessary materials for SLD programs.
11. As necessary, coordinates offsite residencies, site contracts, payments, student/faculty travel schedules, ground transportation logistics, and the shipping and distribution of residency materials.
12. Handles course materials reproduction and delivery to residency sites and individual students as needed.
13. Responsible for graduation arrangements for overseas students.
14. Other related duties and responsibilities as required.
Status: Staff, full-time, 40 hours weekly (8:30a.m. to 5 p.m.), 12 months per year

• Previous experience as a Recruiter, Program Advisor or Program Coordinator is desirable. (Preferred)
• Willingness to travel 8-12 weeks annually to conferences and developing countries in Africa, Asia and or Latin America. (Essential)

• Proven cross cultural competencies. (Preferred)
• Able to take initiative and responsibility for projects and programs without needing close supervision. (Essential)

• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing systems, filing and records management systems, ability to design new forms, processes and office procedures. (Required)
• Intermediate-to-Expert level knowledge in MS Office software, Internet search, and email and general database understanding. (Required)
• Knowledge of Eastern’s budget process, and budgeting in general, including how to process accounts payable, and how to perform budget analysis and make summary reports. (Required)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Well networked in Non Profit and/or the international NGO sector (Preferred)
Bachelor degree preferred.
Demonstrated success in administration and organizational skills. Academic administration a plus.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Undergraduate Assistants and Graduate Assistants as designated
LANGUAGE SKILLS: English proficiency, Spanish or French proficiency preferred. Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete situations.
