Eastern University, a university of the liberal arts and sciences located in St. Davids, Pennsylvania, invites applications for the position as the Director of Enrollment for the Campolo College of Graduate and Professional Studies (CCGPS).  Reporting to the Executive Dean of the Campolo College of Graduate & Professional Studies (CCGPS), the  Director of Enrollment executes a vision that identifies (market research, internal assessment, predictive enrollment modeling), encourages (marketing, recruitment, admissions, conversion), admits, registers, and retains graduate and professional studies students who are served and achieve success within the mission and programs of the University and the Campolo College.

Position Responsibilities:
1. As a member of the CCGPS leadership team, provides vision and leadership to enroll students in a competitive local, regional and national market.
2. Provides goal clarification, direction and resource facilitation to Admissions and Enrollment Counselors.
3. Attracts and develops strong and capable staff who exhibit a congruence with the University mission and whose gifts contribute to the success of the College’s goals and objectives.
4. Initiates and directs ongoing efforts in business process redesign, developing strategy for new market areas for the college, and the ongoing development of technology to identify, recruit and enroll students.
5. Develops and executes a comprehensive enrollment plan for CCGPS which supports and achieves the enrollment goals of the College by achieving the enrollment goals of each academic unit within the College. This will be completed in coordination with the University Marketing department.
6. Conducts and / or obtains and utilizes relevant market research to develop strategies and make decisions which advance the College toward annual enrollment goals. This includes both an awareness of competing institutions and programs as well as an awareness of prospective student profiles, needs and expectations.
7. Aligns the College’s enrollment resources (financial and personnel) with current and relevant opportunities in a manner to optimize the College’s stewardship of resources and to achieve enrollment goals.
8. Cultivates and maintains relationships with internal constituents including but not limited to CCGPS academic leadership and faculty, University Communications office, University marketing leadership and division level marketing leadership (Palmer, College of Arts & Sciences) to insure congruence between the College’s market (prospective students, competitors), programs and message.
9. Cultivates and maintains relationships with CCGPS academic program leadership and faculty for the purpose of continuous evaluation of admissions criteria for each program, implications of admissions criteria (conversion rates, admissions rates, persistence rates, etc.), and implications of existing admissions criteria to marketplace, competition and program outcomes.
10. Manages the CCGPS financial aid resources in a manner that leverages enrollment and produces net revenue in support of CCGPS goals and objectives.
11. In collaboration with the office of Institutional Research, collects, refines and analyzes data to formulate strategic and operational plans and decisions.
12. Remains abreast of trends in higher education with a particular emphasis on graduate and professional studies, adult education and alternative delivery methods.
13. Attends Commencement and CCGPS Awards Banquets and other ceremonial events as needed.
14. Embodies values of caring and compassion, justice and integrity, competence, and affirmation.

Status: Staff, full-time, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The ability to articulate and support the University’s evangelical Christian mission is essential. Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred. Successful candidate will demonstrate strong progressive experience in enrollment or sales management, minimum of 5 years professional experience or an equivalent of education and progressively responsible experience.

Proven organizational, mentoring, motivational and communication skills are essential; experience in private higher education and / or non-traditional adult education is preferred. The ability to work creatively and collaboratively across multiple perspectives is essential. A working knowledge of enrollment management, marketing and operational execution is essential.

Must be able to achieve objectives through others and collaborate constructively with internal and external constituents. Technology competence (Microsoft Office, database management and spreadsheets - Access, Excel) is essential.
