VA Benefits


The Department of Veterans Affairs determines your eligibility of educational benefits which students may be entitled. Once you have received notification of your benefits, you may contact the Student Accounts Office of Eastern University for submittal.

POST 9/11 GI Bill - Chapter 33

The Post 9/11 GI Bill provides financial support for education and housing to honorable discharged individuals with at least 90 days of aggregate service on or after September 11, 2001 or individual discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days.  The transfer of the Post 9/11 GI bill benefits to a family member must be coordinated through the Department of Defense. Vocational Rehabilitation (VocRehab) - Chapter 31

Vocational Rehabilitation provides financial support for tuition, books and fees to veterans. To verify your benefits, students should contact the US Department of Veterans Affairs, Philadelphia Office at: 215 842-2000, extension 2638 or by email to: natilee.thomas@va.gov.
