Eastern University is open and operating on a normal schedule.

School Closing Information:

When there is a concern or threat of inclement weather the campus administration reserves the right to implement its weather emergency procedure. Please use caution and allow ample time for travel and delays when travel becomes dangerous during inclement weather.

It is at the discretion of each University Program administration to determine closings dependant on weather conditions in their respective location. Immediately, after the decision has been made the administrator will notify the respective personnel on the closing status so that this web page can be updated and KYW1060 AM News Radio can be notified.

Should the University open late, close early, or cancel classes for the day due to inclement weather it will be announced over KYW 1060 AM, news radio. This is the primary source of University closing information.

 The University has been informed by KYW1060 AM News Radio that they do broadcast closing information on KYW-TV3 news. In addition, you can visit www.KYW1060.com for school closing updates.

The main campus switchboard will also provide closing information at 610-341-5800.

It is the campus community's responsibility to listen for the University's closing information on the radio, to call the switchboard or visit this site for updates.

As long as power, phones, and the Internet are available and operational, emails and voice mail announcements will be sent to the main campus community, but should not be depended upon. These informational tools are the last steps in the announcement process.
