How do I dial into Eastern's PPP connection once it is configured on my machine?

STEP 1.

Place a shortcut of the Dialer Icon on your desktop by going to the Start Button, then Programs, then Windows Explorer. In Windows Explorer, scroll down in the left hand column until you see a folder called "dial-up networking." Double click on this folder and in the right hand column you will see an icon called "Eastern University." Hold down the left mouse button over this icon, drag it onto the desktop, then let up on the mouse button. When you do this, the computer will say, "Can not copy this item onto the desktop, would you like to make it a shortcut instead?" Answer yes to this question and a shortcut of the Dialer will appear on your desktop.

STEP 2.

Double click on the shortcut to Eastern University Icon on your desktop. Insert your username and e-mail password into the blank fields and hit connect. (If you have call waiting to disable with *70, you need to dial a number to access an outside line, or dial the number as long distance, press dial properties and answer the questions accordingly before you proceed)

STEP 3.

Once connected you may hit the OK button. The connection window will shrink to the taskbar as a computer icon near your clock. At this point you may open Netscape, Eudora or Microsoft Internet Explorer. To terminate your connection, close Netscape, Microsoft Image Composer, and Eudora. Then click on the small computer Icon on the taskbar to maximize your connection window and hit the disconnect button.
