The Regional Admissions Counselor will handle all recruitment and execution of strategic program goals with specific tasks to include:
â€”Establish networking relationships with church leaders, education entities, businesses, and other organizations in order to build brand awareness and establish a recruitment base.
â€”Coordinate and conduct informational sessions and presentations both on and off-campus representing the College to prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors, day care centers, churches, Latino community organizations, pre-schools and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process.
â€”Review applications for admission and assist students through the admission, financial aid and overall enrollment process. Meet with, counsel, and register non-matriculated new students.
â€”Perform various processing and administrative related recruitment/sales activity results, including maintenance of records for new student prospects, existing student leads, organization of calendar for scheduling recruiting/sales calls, completing applications for student processing, reviewing student contacts made and status of these leads.
â€”Meet or exceed the demands of established enrollment goals for the Lancaster area.
â€”Collaborate with the Director of Enrollment & Marketing to develop promotional materials, including brochures, advertisement, letters, presentations, etc.
â€”The successful candidate will have: 1+ years of experience directly related to college admissions, recruitment of students, marketing/sales, and/or college access program duties.Â
â€”BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study is required.
â€”Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) ability to effectively write, read, and speak.
â€”Ability to travel up to 75 % of the week during peak times to locations in Lancaster County and surrounding areas and to load and transport admissions materials, displays and other equipment.
â€”Ability to work extended evening and weekend hours, especially during the peak travel and recruitment season.
â€”Strong time-management and organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
â€”Possess strong cross-cultural interpersonal and writing skills are necessary, including public speaking skills and the ability to present the College in a positive way to diverse populations.
â€”Strong knowledge of the college admissions process to include financial assistance, orientation, event planning, and counseling.
