St. Davids, PA, April 2, 2008: Eastern University will hold its commencement ceremonies on May 10. The ceremony for the College of Arts and Sciences will take place at 10 a.m. on the Auxiliary Field. The ceremony for all students in the Campolo College of Graduate and Professional Studies will begin there at 2:30 p.m. Commencement will be held on the campus at 1300 Eagle Road in St. Davids, PA.
This spring’s commencement speaker is Dr. Randall Balmer, distinguished historian and professor of American religious history at Barnard College of Columbia University. He has lectured to audiences around the country on religious studies and has been a visiting professor at Rutgers, Yale, Drew, Princeton and Northwestern Universities, and at Union Theological Seminary where he was an adjunct professor.
The ceremony will be held outside, rain or shine. In the event of lightning or severe weather, the ceremony will be held in the Gymnasium. Visitors may park in the main campus lots or residence hall lots along Eagle Road; security staff will be directing motorists to available parking.
