EASTERN UNIVERSITY SIGNS DUAL ADMISSIONS TRANSFER PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH DELAWARE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE
St. Davids, PA, February 12, 2009: Eastern University President David Black and Chancellor Christopher Hall formally signed a Dual Admissions Transfer Agreement with Dr. Jerome S. Parker, President of Delaware County Community College (DCCC) on February 10. Also signing the agreement were Eastern Provost David King and DCCC Provost Virginia Carter, along with Eastern Vice President for Enrollment Management David Urban and DCCC Vice President for Enrollment Management Frances Cubberley.
Under this agreement, students who graduate from DCCC with an associate's degree are guaranteed admission into Eastern University's bachelor's degree programs with junior status, providing they meet all grade and admission requirements. These students may transfer up to 89 credits.
Eastern will also accept 70 required credits from DCCC's Associate of Science in Nursing program for students who enter the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in the Eastern University Campolo College of Graduate and Professional Studies. These students may receive an $833 scholarship per term for full-time attendance over the course of the accelerated two-year BSN degree program.
Among the many advantages for DCCC students are the fact that Eastern University will waive its application fee for them, as well as provide information sessions to help make a smooth transition to Eastern University. DCCC students admitted to Eastern's College of Arts and Sciences are eligible for up to $7,500 in scholarship aid per academic year, based on their grade-point-average.
DCCC students who enroll in at least 12 credits with Eastern's Campolo College of Graduate and Professional Studies may receive a $2,500 scholarship for the degree program.
