                Commencement will be held outside on the Auxiliary Field, to the left of
                Olson Field. The severe weather policy is found in this brochure.
                Graduates and guests will not be permitted on the field wearing
                 high-heeled or spiked shoes; flat sole shoes are required.
A reception will be held in the Walton Dining Commons immediately following the ceremony. All graduates and their families and friends are invited to attend.

               before 1:30 p.m. Due to an earlier ceremony, parking will not be available.)

The Ceremony Location
The ceremony will be held in the Eastern University Auxiliary Field. In the event of sever weather each graduating student has been given two tickets for gymnasium seating. Due to the number of graduates, seating will be on a first come, first serve basis. Additional guests may view the ceremony through closed-circuit television in the McInnis Auditorium.
Saint Davids Housing Check-Out
Students must be completely checked out of their rooms by 5:00 p.m. on Commencement Day. The Residence Halls will be open to parents and guests from noon to 5:00 p.m. Graduates should have their rooms packed up and cleaned before Commencement. Plan your schedule around this deadline so that check-out will be smooth and "on time" for St. Davids residences.
Photographer and Videographer
Legacy Photographics will photograph each graduate receiving a diploma cover and as they exit the stage. Proofs will be sent to home addresses. (Make sure that information is correct in the Registrar's Office.)Â There is no obligation to purchase these photos. Short Productions will professionally videotape Commencement in its entirety. Look for order forms at commencement or by calling 215.699.2328.
Hotels
Hotels are booked to capacity much of the time. Make your reservations now. Guests are not accommodated in the residence halls during the Commencement weekend. A list of area hotels is included for your convenience.
Directions to Eastern University Saint Davids Campus
From I-476 (The Blue Route): Take Exit 13 (St. Davids/ Villanova). Turn left off the ramp onto Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue). At the light for Radnor-Chester Road (Radnor Hotel on corner), turn right. At the end of the road, turn left onto King of Prussia Road. At the second light, turn left onto Eagle Road. Then turn left into the main entrance of Eastern University. Continue on Thomas Drive to main parking area.
From King of Prussia Hotels and Route 202: From Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) travel south on South Gulph Road at the four-way intersection (Chilis Restaurant and Best Western Hotel on corners). Take South Gulph Road to second light. Take a right onto Brook Road to end-right onto Croton Road. Make second left onto King of Prussia Road. At first light, turn right onto Eagle Road. Then left into main entrance of Eastern University. Continue on road (Thomas Drive) to main parking area.

Parking
Access to the main campus parking lots will be by way of the main entrance on Eagle Road. Motorists will be directed to available parking by Security Department staff. Visitors may also utilize parking in the lots around the residence halls on Eagle Road.
Passengers who need to be discharged from vehicles closer to the Commencement site may be dropped off on the Fairview Drive side of campus, Gym entrance. Drivers must then proceed to the Eagle Road entrance and regular parking areas.
Vans will be stationed in the main parking lots (McInnis Hall and Fowler Hall) to transport those with disabilities and the elderly to the Commencement site. All guests are requested to wear sensible shoes for the walk across the campus.
Do not park on any area roads, in violation of posted regulations. Do not block another vehicle. Do not park on grass.
Please wear sensible footware as parking maybe as far as a 10 minute walk from ceremony.
