When will I receive my Eastern username and password?

Your Eastern username and password will be mailed to you upon application to your program.  If you did not receive this or need a refresher, please email student-services@eastern.edu and your Student Services Representative will provide you with all your information.

When is orientation?

Student Services has created an online orientation and resource guide delivered through Blackboard and Adobe Connect that you may review at your own pace. It has instructional guides and also useful links that are extremely important for you to have access. For example, you will find out how to upload a photo for a photo id, fill out parking permit information (if needed), how to order books and much, much more.  You can access the orientation by going to: www.eastern.edu

  • Click on Current Students at the top-right side of the page
  • On the Current Student page, click on Blackboard
  • Enter the login and password provided to you by Eastern
  • On the Blackboard homepage, click on “SLD Student Orientation”

 You will also have an on-site academic orientation at the start of your residency.

What is myEastern?

myEastern (my.eastern.edu) is your own customized portal that allows you to log in and view all your personal information, including student schedule, financial aid awards, tuition bill and much, much more.  The above mentioned orientation covers this system in detail.

How do I pay my tuition bill?

Your tuition is due the 15th of the month prior to the start of the new session/term, either by completing the financial aid process, paying in full, or setting up a payment plan.  Once you are registered for classes, you will have access to the “Student Accounts” tab when you log into MyEastern (my.eastern.edu).  Go to CashNet to view your billing statement.  Your account must be paid in full prior to the start of your session.   Any questions regarding your bill should be directed to:

How do I know the bottom line cost once my aid is applied?

Once you are accepted for classes, you will have access to the “Financial Aid” tab when you log into MyEastern (my.eastern.edu).  To see the bottom line cost for your first term, go to the “Student Accounts” tab and view your Course & Fee Statement.  Any questions regarding your financial aid should be directed to:

How do I obtain books for class?

To view your required booklist, follow the steps below.  You can either order directly from the bookstore, or use the information purchase books elsewhere.  More details the Bookstore and how to bill the cost of books to your student account can be found here.

To access the Follett’s bookstore website, follow these steps:

  • Go to www.eastern.edu
  • Click on Quick Links in the top right hand corner of the page
  • Select Bookstore
  • Choose the second bookstore link for the Falls Center Bookstore
  • Hover over the tab called Books and then select Textbooks & Course Materials
  • Use the drop down boxes to select your course and view the required course books

How do I find out what classroom is mine?

Once you receive your Eastern University username and password, you will have access to log into MyEastern (my.eastern.edu).  Upon registration, you will be able to view your Student Schedule located under the “Student Records” tab.  Your classroom is listed by each course under your Student Schedule.

What do I need to do to prepare for the first night of class?

To be best prepared do the following:

  • Complete the Online Orientation
  • Purchase your textbooks
  • Review the course material/syllabus posted on your Blackboard course (explained in orientation)
  • Check your Eastern Email
  • Complete Financial Aid process or Tuition Payment Plan

Who do I contact with questions?

Student Services is available to assist you as you begin orientation and act as a point of contact throughout the program.   Email student-services@eastern.edu and a member of the team will respond as quickly as possible.
