Huihong Bao, a doctoral student in UMass, came from China. Her research interest focuses on L2 acquisition/learning and teaching, power relations between ESL/ELL students and teachers, computer-mediated instruction, intercultural communication, and autoethnography. Stephen C. Bronack is Assistant Professor of Instructional Technology at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.  His research interest includes organizational development and virtual reality in online learning. Caitlin Coulter is a multiple subject credential candidate and English major, with an emphasis is creative writing, at the University of Redlands, in California. With a minor in psychology, her areas of interest include nonfiction and multicultural literature.

Duan Kellum is an ESL teacher in the Redlands Unified School District in Redlands, California. He holds a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Social justice, pluralism, culture and theater are his areas of interest.

Yvette Lane is a single subject credential candidate and economics major at the University of Redlands, in California. Her research interests include economics, multicultural education and literacy.

Suzanne Langford is Associate Professor of Education and Coordinator of the Reading Certificate Program at the University of Redlands in southern California. Leah P. Macfadyen is a Research Associate in Skylight (the Science Centre for Learning and Teaching) within the Faculty of Science at The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. Before joining the Faculty of Science, Dr. Macfadyen undertook research and teaching projects for the UBC Centre for Intercultural Communication and UBC Distance Education & Technology. Cris Molins Pueyo, Ph. D. Candidate, is a lecturer in Sociology and Education in the Department of Sociology at Universitat Auṭnoma de Barcelona in Spain and is preparing for a dissertation, entitled Play as Socio-cultural Learning in a Time of Change.
