Harold C. Howard Center/Warner Library

Harold C. Howard Center

Warner Library is an attractive and comfortable facility. In the fall of 2005, the Howard Center for information and technology was opened. The beautiful brick and glass addition to the library houses the bookstore, study rooms for students, and additional classrooms, faculty offices, and book space. The Howard Center was named in honor of Dr. Harold C. Howard, who served Eastern University in various leadership roles, including academic dean, provost and senior vice president, from 1965 until his death in 2003.

Warner Library houses 168,000 volumes, 13,000 online and print periodicals, 19,000 audio-visual media, and 850,000 microforms. The computerized catalog and database allow access to books, periodicals, and reference material. Other book resources available to students involve access to 75,000 e-books in full text; as well as access to 36,000,000 books through E-Z Borrow's direct interlibrary loan service. Library instruction in research skills are provided.
