• Applicants must hold a B.S. in Nursing from a nursing program accredited by CCNE or ACEN.
• Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 preferred with particular importance placed on the last two years of the undergraduate record. An applicant with a lower GPA may be offered provisional acceptance for a period of one semester or term. (Note: Students are limited to six credits in this classification and financial aid is not available.)
• Must hold a current unrestricted RN license.
• In addition to the general graduate admissions requirements, applicants may have to complete prerequisites before they are fully admitted to the MSN.

In order to apply to the MSN program at Eastern University, please submit the following:

• Application: Completed and signed via our Online Application Portal
• Official Transcript(s): Must be submitted from the institution that granted your baccalaureate degree (including Eastern University). Graduate transcripts from each college or university attended are also required if you wish to have graduate classes considered for transfer.

International students who completed their Baccalaureate in Nursing from another country must currently reside in the US and have residency status. 

Additional documentation must be submitted:

1. Transcript evaluations for all institutions attended outside of the United States. Applicants should use one of the following services:
   • Must submit a course-by-course evaluation of the international transcripts from World Education Services, SpanTran, or any NACES affiliated service provider listed here.
   • Must submit Credentials Evaluation Service full education course-by-course evaluation Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) 
      
2. Results from the CGFNS Qualifying Exam for licensure for applicants who hold an RN license outside of the United States.
    
3. Applicants with degrees that were not taught in English may be asked to submit current TOEFL, Duolingo, or IELTS scores that have been taken within the last 2 years.

• Exemptions
  • Applicants who received a BSN or MSN degree from an English-speaking institution are exempt from the TOEFL or IELTS.
  • Accelerated BSN applicants who received their undergraduate or graduate degree from an English-speaking institution.
